Join us for our special Behind the Scenes Guided Tour, taking you into parts of Kingswood Heritage Museum that visitors don’t normally get to see.
You’ll discover:
The Museum Library – and some of the fascinating material held there.
The Archive Collection – packed with photographs, documents and records preserving the history of our local area.
Hidden objects, stories and treasures from the museum’s collections that aren’t usually on display.
How the museum works behind the scenes – including some of the work involved in caring for and researching a volunteer-run local museum.The tour will be led by Steve Wood, our Curator and local historian, and Lynda Blackwell, Chair of the Trust, who will share their knowledge and stories along the way.
Groups are kept deliberately small, giving you plenty of opportunity to ask questions and discover things you might otherwise never see.
Sunday 1 November 2026 – 2pmThe tour lasts approximately 1½ hours and includes admission to the museum, so you can continue exploring afterwards – or relax with a cuppa in the Windmill Café.
